A downloadable aberration for Windows and Linux
An ordinary game of chess, made in Godot.
The project source is hosted on Github with the GPLv3 license.
Made as a submission for Acerola Jam 0
Unfortunately I wasn't able to get as far as I wanted with this project by the end of the jam. There are also no executable for macOS, you will have to download the project files and run it with Godot 4.2 instead.
I will also consider adding a web version later, but it will be after the deadline and I expect the game to be judged from the desktop version, it will be only for ease-of-access for those just wanting to play the game and not judge.
Oh, and your opponent doesn't move, looks like you're playing by yourself.
+ Pawn first moves don't have double range at the moment

The executables are pretty untested as well here, so hope that it works.

I was not expecting that! I like the presentation and the gameplay is smooth. (i would also like to jump with space though) Really cool! :)
